Forklift Truck Operator (Counterbalance)
Pay: £14.00 per hour

Contract: Temporary to Permanent
Shift Pattern: Alternating shifts – mornings and afternoons

NEW ROLE – A reputable manufacturing company in Coalville is currently seeking an experienced FLT Operator to join their team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operating a forklift truck safely to move materials around the facility
  • Handling incoming and outgoing goods, ensuring accuracy at all times
  • Organising and storing stock in line with internal systems and procedures
  • Carrying out routine equipment checks before use and reporting any issues
  • Following all site health and safety policies and guidelines
  • Assisting with general warehouse duties, including maintaining a clean and organised workspace

Requirements:

  • Valid Category B1 or B2 forklift licence is essential
  • Previous experience working in a busy warehouse or manufacturing environment
  • Good knowledge of health and safety practices within a warehouse setting
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts and adapt as required

Essential Skills

  • Must have held licence minimum 12 months
  • Must have previous recent experience in multi drop deliveries.
  • No more than 6 penalty points and no major endorsement codes.
  • Must be able to speak and read a certain level of English.
  • Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Flexibility and availability to work overtime as and when required.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience driving any commercial vehicles would be beneficial.

The Role

We are currently seeking motivated and enthusiastic Class 1 HGV Night Drivers to join our National Client in Bardon Hill, Coalville.

This role involves carrying out unmanned deliveries to customer sites. Experience with Moffett deliveries is preferred; however, full Moffett training will be provided to the right candidate if required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out unmanned deliveries to customer sites safely and efficiently.
  • Complete Moffett deliveries where required.
  • Maintain high standards of quality, accuracy, and professionalism.
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with company procedures and health and safety regulations.
  • Work independently while also supporting the wider team when needed.
  • Contribute ideas and initiatives to improve processes and service delivery.

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum of 12 months’ Class 1 (C+E) driving experience.
  • Valid CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph (Digi) card.
  • Moffett licence preferred but not essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
