This is an exciting opportunity for the successful Overhead Crane Operative (OHC) to work with a long-standing organisation that drive positive change surrounding the docks and due to a period of organic growth they are now looking to recruit several Overhead Crane Operative (OHC) where duties will include:

  • Operating a Overhead Crane Operative (OHC)
  • Locating and relocating commodities including steel
  • Working outdoors on the docks
  • Working in conjunction with overhead crane and Tug drivers
  • Working with all safety guidelines

It is expected that the successful Overhead Crane Operative (OHC)will have a valid Overhead Crane licence, have a strong background in operating a OHC within a steel or docks environment, be comfortable with a flexible working rota whilst working on a number of priorities at any one point.

  • Putting bookings and quotations onto SAP
  • Contacting customers for delivery instructions and documentation
  • Arranging deliveries through third party hauliers

  • Building customer files using information from SAP
  • Obtaining rates from suppliers to create quotations
  • Producing discharge lists for terminals
