Quality Technician

A Quality Technicianr is sought by an expanding North Tyneside based manufacturing company

You will be responsible for all ensuring products are manufactured to a high standard of quality and ISO standards are complied with including: –

  • Investigation & identification root cause of Quality/Process concerns & rejects, and ensuring that effective Countermeasures, Corrective Actions & Preventative Actions are implemented through the use of Quality Tools (8D, 5WHY, Poke Yoke)
  • Overseeing the quality inspection process
  • Examination, analysis and reprocessing of customer returns
  • Issue of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Work Instructions (WI) in relation to process operations and product assembly
  • Creation of Quality Standards documentation for material and Inspection procedures
  • Carry out internal and supplier audits
  • Responsible for the Calibration of measuring equipment, including internal checks and externally calibrated equipment

You will need experience as a Quality Technician within a small to medium manufacturing environment. Experience of quality inspection and documentation is essential. This role would suit someone who is an engineering graduate with an interest in Quality or someone with 2-3 years as an Inspector / Technician who is looking for a role with good technical and career development opportunities. A positive and proactive attitude, good communication skills and attention to detail are personal qualities that will lead to success in this role
