We are currently recruiting for a Plater / Welder for our client based in Sheffield (S9)

Salary £15.50 – £17.00 per hour based on experience
Overtime after 40 hours worked.
Saturday paid at time & half / Sundays paid at double.

Shifts are:
Monday – Friday
06.30am – 16.00pm

The ideal candidate will be experienced and trained Plater Welder to a good standard of workmanship and ideally, be flexible to work on a variety of material.

Skills Required:

  • TIG welding experience- required
  • MIG and MMA/STICK – desirable but not essential
  • Experience of working on medium to heavy engineering fabrications.
  • Reading of, engineering GAs and detailed drawings, to a high standard.
  • Marking out, drilling, cutting, bending rolling and various types of welding.
  • All welding will be qualified and tested to our standards in house.

Conduct routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.

Collaborate with engineers and designers to troubleshoot issues and implement improvements in machining processes.

Adhere to strict safety protocols and quality standards to maintain a safe and productive work environment.

Requirements:

Proficiency in CNC milling operations, including setup, operation, and tool selection.

Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
