We’re looking for a reliable and committed Class 2 HGV Driver to join a well-established plant hire company based in Haddenham.

What’s in it for you?

About the Role

This is not a multi-drop role – you’ll be making planned deliveries to construction and customer sites, offering a more structured and manageable working day.

Reporting to the Haddenham depot, your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering and collecting plant equipment and goods across London and the South East
  • Ensuring safe loading, securing, and unloading of equipment in line with best practices
  • Liaising with site teams and customers, maintaining a professional and helpful approach
  • Completing delivery paperwork accurately
  • Maintaining vehicle safety, cleanliness, and compliance with all regulations

What We’re Looking For

  • Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence (C+E advantageous)
  • Digital tachograph card & up-to-date Driver CPC
  • Previous experience delivering plant equipment (highly desirable)
  • Good understanding of safe loading procedures
  • Experience driving in London or busy urban environments
  • Strong communication and customer-facing skills
  • Reliable, professional, and safety-focused
  • Willingness to work occasional weekends or nights out if required

Salary: £29,640 – £31,200 DOE
Shift Premium: +15% shift allowance
Hours: Full-time, Monday – Thursday (PM Shift)

  • Monday – Wednesday: 1:30pm – 11:30pm
  • Thursday: 1:30pm – 11:00pm

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Fitter & Assembler to join a busy manufacturing environment based in Aylesbury. This role is ideal for someone with a strong mechanical background who takes pride in precision assembly and high-quality workmanship.

This is a late shift position, offering an attractive 15% shift premium in addition to base salary.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out fitting and assembly of components to a high standard.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, including Third Angle Projection drawings.
  • Follow technical instructions from engineers, supervisors, and team leaders.
  • Ensure all work meets strict quality and specification requirements.
  • Carry out in-process and final quality checks.
  • Operate machinery and production equipment safely when required.
  • Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
  • Comply fully with Health & Safety procedures at all times.
  • Support continuous improvement activities across the production area.
  • Assist in other production duties as required.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Strong background in mechanical fitting or assembly.
  • Ability to confidently read engineering drawings (including Third Angle Projection).
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to prioritise workload.
  • Positive, reliable and hands-on attitude.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out fitting and assembly of components to a high standard.
  • Read and accurately interpret engineering drawings, including Third Angle Projection drawings.
  • Follow work instructions and assembly procedures to ensure products are manufactured to specification.
  • Maintain excellent attention to detail to ensure quality standards are consistently achieved.
  • Carry out quality checks throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Operate production machinery and equipment safely and efficiently where required.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the production department.
  • Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
  • Comply with all Health & Safety policies and company procedures.
  • Assist across different production areas when required.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Previous fitting and assembly experience.
  • Ability to confidently read and interpret engineering drawings, including Third Angle Projection drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Good problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritise workload and work to deadlines.
