Business Support Assistant

The Business Support Assistant role is an integral element of the Assistive Technology team and is part of Adult Care Services. The team delivers a ‘Technology Enabled Care service’ (TEC’s) with the main element being a Pendant alarm system, whereby vulnerable people can summon assistance for example if they have fallen at home.

The postholder will undertake a comprehensive range of business support duties, with the focus being, the processing of referrals, completion of the Installation schedules and the associated workstreams.

To act as a point of contact for internal and external queries, effectively responding in a supportive, sensitive and in a timely manner.

  • Experience of working in a business support/administration role undertaking general office duties i.e., updating databases, printing/scanning, processing inbound/outbound mail
  • Experience of dealing directly with customers, whether face to face or via telephone
  • Have an understanding of Safeguarding Adults or Children
  • Have experience in diary management and the servicing of meetings e.g., production of meeting agendas and meeting notes
  • Have experience of using IT applications, including Excel
  • Understanding of General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) and the ability to apply the regulations in the workplace
  • Have the ability to work under pressure when an urgent situation arises
  • Working in an environment where literacy and numeracy skills have been demonstrated

Key Duties

Deal with basic customer enquiries, Receipt and distribute incoming post, proccess correspondence.

Gather information for reporting

Set up of doucmentation

Produce all information gathering for senior Management

Carry out office based duties , event planning,
