Class 1 Night Driver

Class 1 Night Driver – Scunthorpe

Major Logistics are currently recruiting experienced Class 1 Night Drivers to join our client’s team based in Scunthorpe. This is a fantastic opportunity for reliable drivers seeking ongoing work through to Christmas, with the possibility of continued work into the new year.

Pay Rates (PAYE):

  • Nights: £200 per shift

  • Saturday: £215 per shift

  • Sunday: £230 per shift

(Average shift length: 8-12 hours)

Your Role:

  • Driving HGV Class 1 (C+E) vehicles

  • Completing trunk runs on behalf of the Royal Mail contract

  • Conducting daily vehicle checks to meet legal and company standards

Shift Information:

  • Start times between 15:00-19:00

  • Night runs or night tramping available

  • Work available Monday to Saturday

What You’ll Need:

  • A valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence

  • CPC Qualification Card

  • Digital Tachograph Card

  • Minimum 6 months’ Class 1 driving experience

Class 1 HGV Driver

Major recruitment are currently recruiting for a Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Motherwell This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a well-know company within the logistics and transportation industry

What are the benefits?

  • Start times are between 03:00-09:00
  • 8 Hours Per Day Guaranteed
  • £17.43 Per Hour
  • Regional Store Deliveries
  • Immediate Start
  • Training Provided

Daily duties will consist of but are not limited to:-

  • Operating and driving Category CE vehicles safely and efficiently to and from delivery locations
  • Performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
  • Ensuring timely, safe and professional deliveries to customer sites
  • Knowledge of driving/working hours
  • Communicating effectively with dispatch and customers
  • Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
  • Keeping the truck and equipment clean and tidy

Essential Skills

  • No more than 6 penalty points and no major endorsement codes.
  • Must be able to speak and read a certain level of English.
  • Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Flexibility and availability to work overtime as and when required.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience driving any commercial vehicles would be beneficial.

What training is provided?

  • Industry related training and ongoing support throughout

  • Monday-Friday

-Must have valid CPC and Tacho

Class 2 HGV Driver

Major Recruitment are currenlty recruiting HGV Class 2 drivers for our client based in Coventry

  • Monday to Friday
  • 6am-10am starts
  • some night outs as needed
  • 9-12 hour shifts
  • Accrued holiday weekly while on agency
  • Up to 4 drops a day
  • Daily Vehicle check
  • Checking safety of loads
  • Good communication with transport team and customers
  • Completion of necessary paperwork
  • Must have held Class 2 licence for over 24 months
  • No more than 6 points on your licence or major infringements

This is a TEMP to PERM role

Must have held licence minimum 24 months

Must have Valid CPC and Tacho

Must be able to drive Manual gear box
