Responsibilities of a Quality Assurance Manager

  • Manage the formulation, implementation and maintenance of basic policies, plans, programs, standards and techniques necessary to achieve food safety and quality objectives.
  • Manage the development and maintenance of methods and systems for measuring the degree to which food safety/quality goals, objectives and standards are being met; utilizing the results in the effective management of QA activities and recommending corrective actions as needed.
  • Interface with sales, suppliers, customers, manufacturing, and distribution to establish food safety and quality requirements on individual products and services based on customer need, the function of the product and its reliability, scalability, and value.
  • Manage food safety and quality assurance functions to ensure that proposed and existing products and processes are reviewed to avoid or eliminate unnecessary food safety and quality issues; developing recommendations for improvements that increase product uniformity and reliability and improve characteristics to reduce field failures and complaints.
  • Ensure all operations comply with government and agency regulations; manage all audits with such agencies
  • Ensure compliance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Lab Procedures (GLP), Safety policies, regulatory requirements and organization guidelines.

Experience Required to be a Quality Assurance Manager

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; preferably in Food Science, Dairy Science, Operations Management or related field.
  • Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
  • Minimum three years of quality assurance/control experience required; preferably in food processing/dairy production.
  • Previous supervisory experience required.
  • HACCP Certification required.
  • PCQI Certification required.
  • SQF Certification required.
  • ASQ CMQ/OE Certification preferred.
  • CIS preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage and develop staff.
  • Knowledge of Food Quality and Food Safety programs including GMP, HACCP, CAPA.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow documents and procedures (GLP, SOP, MSDS, GMP, test procedures, and HACCP) and translate into workable plant procedures including implementation and accountability.

As a Technical Support & Services Manager, you will manage daily technical and quality assurance operations while providing hands-on laboratory management and customer-facing technical support. This role combines immediate technical execution with management responsibilities, with opportunity to grow into strategic leadership as the company expands

Responsibilities of a Technical Support & Services Manager

  • Provide technical support to the sales team on product specifications and applications
  • Lead customer sample preparation and technical presentations
  • Manage laboratory equipment, calibration, maintenance schedules, and vendor relationships
  • Support product formulation and custom ingredient development
  • Schedule and prioritise testing activities and sample processing

  • Previous pharmaceutical or nutraceutical industry experience preferred
  • Knowledge of analytical instrumentation and testing methodologies
  • Understanding of FDA regulations, GMP, and food safety requirements
  • Strong documentation and SOP development skills
  • Leadership experience managing technical staff
  • Experience with ingredient labeling, nutritional data, and FDA/USDA documentation requirements
  • Exposure to document management systems or LIMS
  • Understanding of ingredient specifications and supplier qualification processes
  • Interest in developing expertise in food ingredient regulations and technical operations
  • Management and oversight of a Team to meet regulatory requirements and operational needs

As a Territory Sales Manager, you will drive consistent revenue growth and customer satisfaction with limited direction and achieve or exceed productivity targets.

Responsibilities of a Territory Sales Manager

  • Generates revenue by soliciting and obtaining orders, understanding, and interpreting technical requirements, providing technical information, and developing accounts.
  • Assesses competitors by analyzing and summarizing competitor information and trends and identifying sales opportunities.
  • Develops sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts, soliciting new accounts, building rapport, providing technical information and explanations, and preparing quotations.
  • Travel required (30%+), including face-to-face client meetings and trade shows within a designated territory
  • Closes new accounts by answering telephone, fax, and e-mail inquiries and verifying and entering information.
  • Develops accounts by checking customers’ buying history, suggesting related and new items, and explaining technical features.

Skills required to be a Territory Sales Manager

  • Previous Sales, Business Development or Account Management experience
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Experience working with food ingredients, supplements or in the sports nutrition market
