Production Operative (Days)

A comprehensive co-packing company based in Blackburn are looking to recruit Production Operatives throughout July to join their team.

The role involves working with a full and comprehensive range of co-packaging, to assist Production Management in all aspects of daily production tasks to ensure customer orders are completed to the highest standard, working in line with the Food Safety Policies and BRC guidelines & regulations.

Description of the role:

· Checking and weighing of materials
· Operating machinery and equipment whilst adhering to Health & Safety rules and regulations at all times
· Run quality checks to ensure production of acceptable products in line with the requirements of the Quality Control Sheet and Product Specification.
· Assembling, packaging and labelling of products
· Removing unacceptable products and reporting any issues to the Production Supervisor / Quality Controller immediately
· Comply with Company hygiene policies and procedures when undertaking operations while maintaining high standards of personal hygiene
· Demonstrate the competent application of good manufacturing practices required to consistently operate to high standards of food safety
· Maintain a clean production environment
· Work in a safe manner with due consideration for personal Health & Safety and that of co-workers at all times

Assembly Operative (Rotating Shifts)

Major Recruitment are looking for experienced Assembly Operatives to work within a clean room for a in Shadsworth, Blackburn.

The company support the design and manufacture of medical devices, equipment and other medical products.

What’s on offer?

-£10.00ph plus £40allowance per week (£11.07 per hour total).

-Shift work! 05.30 – 14.00 / 14.00 – 22.30 (Monday to Thursday) and 05.30am – 11.00am / 11.00am – 16.30pm Friday.

-Finger print access onto site.

-Close to public transport.

The ideal candidate will have the following:

Assembling experience.

-Keen to progress.

-Dexterous.

-Good communication skills.

Additional pay:

Bonus scheme – £40 a week attendance bonus

Assembly / Production Operative

Our client are a well-established independent business with over 28 years of manufacturing experience in UPVC building products. They operate over two large manufacturing sites in Blackburn and Knowsley. It is not only their products that are known for quality but their employees also. With a dedicated workforce they have reached new heights in the industry and created growth in all areas of the business.

Job title: Assembly Operative / Production Operative (UPVC Windows & Doors)

Salary as follows:

  • Days – £7.51 per hour (18 – 20 year old), £10.10 per hour (21 – 22 year old), £10.45 per hour (23+ year old)
  • Nights – £8.20 per hour (18 – 20 year old), £11.16 per hour (21 – 22 year old), £11.45 per hours (23+ year old)

Shift Patterns available:

  • Days – Monday to Friday, rotational shifts 6am / 2pm (week 1) and 2pm / 10pm (week 2)
  • Nights – 10pm – 6am Monday to Friday

Required skills and experience:

Comfortable with interpreting measurements to work to details.

-Experience of health and safety practices.

-Familiarity with CNC machinery and modern manufacturing techniques – desirable but not essential as training is provided

-Experience in various PVCu fabrication methods and procedures both manual and automated – desirable but not essential as training is provided
