Key Responsibilities:

Operating Extrusion Machinery

  • Operate extrusion machinery in a safe and efficient manner
  • Carry out basic maintenance tasks as part of the manufacturing process
  • Conduct quality checks on finished products
  • Follow production plans and maintain accurate records
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment

Working Hours – Mon-Thurs 8am-4.30pm and 8am-3.30pm Fridays

This is an exciting opportunity for the successful production/woodworking operative to work with a long-established manufacturer of special wood products that are based on the outskirts of Doncaster, due to the company experiencing a period of organic growth they are looking to add to the existing team of 15 where duties will include:

  • Wood working from a bench
  • Sanding and prepping of wood products
  • Hanging of doors to frames
  • Hanging of doors for paint preparation
  • Any other duties as required

It is expected that the successful production/woodworking operative will have experience of working in a joinery/door hanging role or similar, working in a manufacturing or similar environment or wood prep position, have a strong understanding of all associated wood working tools, have intermediate knowledge with joinery, be confident in managing multiple priorities whilst working with accuracy and with own initiative.

This is an exciting opportunity for the successful paint sprayer to work with a long-established manufacturer of specialist wood products that are based on the outskirts of Doncaster, due to the company experiencing a period of organic growth they are looking to add to the existing team of 15 where duties will include:

  • Application of water-based paint systems.
  • Mixing of paint.
  • Preparation of vehicles.
  • Use of conventional spray guns.
  • Haning of doors ready for paint
  • Preparation of paint shop

It is expected that the successful paint sprayer will have experience of working in a joinery/door paint spraying role or similar, working in a manufacturing or similar environment or wood prep position, have a strong understanding of all associated paint spraying equipment, have intermediate knowledge with water based systems and use of gravity fed spray guns, be confident in managing multiple priorities whilst working with accuracy and with own initiative.

Daily duties will consist of but are not limited to:-

  • Operating and driving Category C vehicles safely and efficiently to and from delivery locations
  • Performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
  • Ensuring timely, safe and professional deliveries to customer sites
  • Knowledge of driving/working hours
  • Communicating effectively with dispatch and customers
  • Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
  • Keeping the truck and equipment clean and tidy

Essential Skills

  • You Must Have a Minimum 12 Months Class 2 Experience
  • Valid CPC & DIGI card – ADR Is Essential
  • Must have minimum 12 months experience in HGV driving
  • No more than 6 penalty points and no major endorsement codes.
  • Must be able to speak and read a certain level of English.
  • Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Flexibility and availability to work overtime as and when required.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines.
  • Must be punctual and have good timekeeping

Desirable Experience

  • Experience driving any commercial vehicles would be beneficial.

What training is provided?

  • Industry related training and ongoing support throughout
