Our client a well-known distributor is looking to expand their busy team based in Lympne, near Folkestone

We are looking for a number of pickers/ packers, Warehouse operatives to join the existing team.

Due to location you need to have your own transport.

Pay Rate:

£11.44 ph.

This is a temporary ongoing position starting ASAP.

Various Shifts available depending on requirements.

Monday – Friday

12pm – 9pm,

4pm – 9pm

Thursday – Monday

12pm – 9pm

Rotating shifts

Month 1 – Tuesday – Saturday – 11am – 9pm

Month 2 – Monday – Friday 11am – 9pm

Month 3 – Sunday – Thursday 11am – 9pm

Duties:

  • Picking and Packing
  • Experience of handheld terminal
  • Stock check.
  • Wrap goods, prepare goods for delivery.
  • Maintain a high degree of housekeeping standards.
  • Other general warehouse duties.

Requirements

  • Own transport
  • Safety boots

The Production Operative role covers a number of jobs which need to be carried out in line with the standard operating procedures. The work also involves heavy lifting, so the candidate needs to be physically fit and prepared.

All paperwork and required checks have to be carried out and logged appropriately. Reporting to the Shift Manager who will determine where in the plant you will be required to work. In this role you will be required to keep yourself and others safe, apply your training and always seek clarity.

Areas of work include:

Packing end (QC, Packing and extended lines)

Feeding end (talc, hopper filling and bin filling)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Carry out required quality checks.
  • Heavy Lifting
  • Log data on appropriate form electronically or otherwise as required.
  • Follow procedures.
  • Maintain a high level of housekeeping.
  • Operate a forklift truck or pallet truck in a safe manner.
  • Report any undesirable conditions of equipment.
  • Carry out Monday AM checks on plant and equipment.
  • Work in a safe manner at all times and always with the correct PPE.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

Ideally the successful candidate will have experience or qualifications in the following areas, although training will be provided for the right candidate if necessary:

  • Forklift truck licence / pallet stacker.
  • Manual handling training.
  • Heavy lifting
  • Able to carry out all required checks in terms of quality and maintenance.
  • A good standard of numeracy and literacy.
  • Reasonable computer skills.

Shifts :

Monday to Friday :

Days : 06:00am to 14:00pm and 14:00pm to 22:00pm

Nights : 22:00pm to 06:00am

Pay :

Days : £12.20

Nights : £12.50
