We are looking to recruit a FLT VNA Driver for their large scale distribution site in Heywood. Working in an ambient warehouse. 100% FLT driving – long-term position.

Candidates must have in date licence – we cannot accept in-house licences. Successful candidate will have to attend one day driving assessment including Drug & Alcohol testing, usual start for assessment is 8am, pay rate for assessment £11.89ph.

Shift Pattern:

– Night shift 6pm – 6am

– Sunday to Wednesday or Wednesday to Saturday

Pay rate:

– £12.89ph on weekdays

– £13.39ph Saturday

– £14.39ph Sunday

Requirements:

Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Major Recruitment are looking for Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our successful client based in Middleton.

As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer within the plant you will be responsible for ensuring the safe operation of all equipment and efficient scheduling of repairs of plant and machinery and other general maintenance to guarantee optimum efficiency for the business. You will work in collaboration with key functions of the business in order to improve production facilities, reduce the appearance of costly breakdowns and achieve set strategies to improve overall reliability and safety of plant, personnel and production processes. This vacancy is temporary for 6 months with possibility for permanent contract after.

Main responsibilities:

  • Continuous running of buildings, plant, equipment and machinery
  • Utilizing the AIMS Maintenance database system to oversee routine maintenance and organise repairs
  • Carrying out core activities including but not limited to: conducting periodic maintenance checks, supporting equipment upgrades and machinery modifications, identifying faults, investigating equipment breakdowns and monitoring the performance of equipment after repairs have been carried out
  • Carrying out all duties in accordance with the Quality Assurance procedures and the Health & Safety Policy, Employee Handbook, procedures, training and instruction and reporting any safety hazards to the HSE representative
    Contributing to general improvements in the quality and key activities of the department/area and contributing to maintenance strategies, procedures and methods
  • Participating in training where required
  • Ensuring all company policies surrounding stock, health & safety, quality requirements and housekeeping are met and improved upon as identified
  • Being fully accountable for achieving all relevant KPIs
  • Diagnosing breakdown faults – in range from electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic
  • Repairing/maintaining CNC machinery in both reactive as well as planned preventative maintenance (PPM), to always ensure optimum production capacity and ensuring that any unresolved technical problems are escalated to the Engineering Manager in a timely fashion
  • Fitting new parts and making sure equipment is working correctly
  • Liaising with departments and other engineering and production colleagues
  • Arranging specialist procurement of fixtures, fittings or components
  • Maintaining maintenance tools, stores and equipment and monitoring and controlling maintenance costs
  • Dealing with emergencies, unplanned problems and repairs
  • Writing maintenance strategies to help with installation and commissioning of new plant and equipment

– Monday to Thursday 06:00 – 14:30 and 13:30 – 22:00 rotating

  • Knowledge of hydraulics & pneumatics including schematics

Qualifications required:

Essential:

  • HNC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Time served apprentice in the electrical industry
  • PLC’s, electrical fault finding & understanding SLD’s

Desirable:

  • HNC in Electrical Engineering along with certification in mechanical engineering Experience within Engineering environment with 5+ years’ experience
  • Knowledge of Mazak, Weingartner, Puma & Okuma HMI systems
  • CNC fault finding and operation skills
  • Hydraulic and pneumatics knowledge
