About the Role:
As a Customer Service Agent, you will be an integral part of our customer service team, focused on ensuring that all bookings are accurately processed and actioned, and that our distribution branches are operating effectively. While this role does not involve call centre duties, it requires a keen attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a proactive attitude to ensure customer needs are met.

Key Responsibilities:
– Input bookings from customers into our system accurately and efficiently.
– Liaise with customers and partners to ensure smooth communication and resolve any issues or queries promptly.
– Manage key accounts, ensuring their needs are met and maintaining strong relationships.
– Handle customer queries and complaints effectively, working closely with internal departments to resolve issues and provide solutions.

Essential skills and qualifications
– Previous Customer Service experience coupled with knowledge of the Transport Industry would be advantageous

Overview:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Forklift (FLT) Instructor to join our team. The FLT Instructor will be responsible for designing, implementing, and facilitating training programs for forklift operators, ensuring they possess the necessary skills and knowledge to operate forklifts safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience operating forklifts, excellent communication skills, and a passion for educating others.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to Shift Managers, you will be coordinating the MHE training for the both sites as well as conducting training.
  • Induction new starters to company’s standard.
  • Develop comprehensive training materials and curriculum for forklift operation, covering topics such as safety procedures, equipment maintenance, and proper handling techniques.
  • Conduct engaging and interactive training sessions for new forklift operators, as well as refresher courses for experienced operators, both in classroom settings and practical training areas.

Major Logistics are currently recruiting for multiple drivers for our Eggborough (DN14) based client. Our client is a market leader in the sale of commercial, construction and agricultural equipment.

This position is working 3 days every 6 weeks (the next dates are 24th to 26th April)

This position will be working on an Auction site.

Drivers will be required to drive a variety of vehicles during the auction (trucks, tractors, FLT & diggers). No previous experience is needed as training will be provided on all equipment prior to moving them.

Duties:

  • Driving vehicles through the auction
  • Parking vehicles in bays
  • Reporting faults & non-starting vehicles
  • Handling keys

Hours:

  • Any days between Wednesday to Friday, 0730 starts (do not have to be available for all three shifts)

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Key holder, opening and closing business premises in line with company security procedures.
  • Action regular briefings ensuring staff are kept up to date with compliance and performance information. Include celebrating success and challenges.
  • Collate daily information of customer orders and recording performance on data boards.
  • Oversee pick and pack, order processing operation ensuring productivity and high standards are met in line with company compliance.Liaise with customer service regarding picking errors and deal with repeat offenders.
  • Liaise with the warehouse manager to ensure adequate resources are in place to fulfill business requirements including promotions and key seasonal trends.
  • Ensure performance management of the pick and pack team is in place including staff reviews. Also support the warehouse manager with disciplinary procedures in line with company policies.
  • Multi skilling the pick and pack team, identifying knowledge gaps through the training matrix to protect the business and sales.
  • Action a progression plan for your key team members, creating a clear career path.
  • Head up projects as and when required. Projects will be focused on productivity, efficiency and cost planning etc.
  • Aim to cover the warehouse manager duties in his absence.

The successful candidate will ideally have

  • Proven track record in a similar role, with ideally a minimum of 2 years experience.
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Computer literate
