Duties include:

  • Overseeing a supervisory area within production

Operations Manager

To be responsible for the production and overall quality of our product, achievement of the required high standards of hygiene with the necessary level of productivity and minimum waste whilst promoting high standards in health and safety practice.

Specific Duties:

  • To achieve the very highest standards of hygiene and quality
  • To participate in the development of the ISO quality plans and HACCP quality system and ensure all records are maintained.
  • To promote and follow the company’s health and safety policy as set out in the company handbook.

  • To liaise closely with the Technical Manager to ensure the products meet the required microbiological standards.

  • To liaise with the Site Manager regarding staff and to promote and train staff as necessary.

  • To attend the regular weekly cheese tastings to monitor the quality of the products.
  • To manage the use of utilities, to reduce them within reason.

We are currently looking to recruit bench joiner for our client based in Doncaster (DN4)

Working a lovely set day shift:
Monday – Thursday 07.45am – 17.00pm
Friday 07.45am – 13.00pm

Pay rate: £14.68 per hour

Bench joiners required.

  • Experience in high quality bench-joinery manufacturing.
  • Must have Joinery qualifications, ideally apprentice trained.
  • Solid surface fabrication experience would be advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills
  • CSCS card would also be advantageous but not required.

Key Responsibilities:

About the Role:
As a Production Operative, you will work in an ambient environment , handling with everyday tasks.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for measuring, grading, and supplying raw materials for our production machinery. You’ll operate a variety of production line equipment, including conveyors, hoists, and airlines. Monitoring the production process and conducting quality checks will be part of your routine, and you’ll make adjustments as needed.
You’ll play a key role in manufacturing our products, ensuring top-notch quality. Keeping your work area clean and performing basic machinery maintenance is essential. If you encounter equipment faults, you’ll report them promptly to our maintenance staff.
Your responsibilities also include assembling components into finished products, fitting parts onto machinery, and applying protective coatings. You’ll operate machine tools, such as sanders, and use preset molding machines for specific tasks. Whether it’s hand-controlled or computer-controlled machines, you’ll set and operate them with precision.
Quality control checks are vital, as you’ll need to remove excess plastic (flash) from products and ensure that parts meet specified tolerances and customer requirements. Keeping accurate records of raw material usage and production quantities is part of the job.
When it comes to preparing goods for shipment, you’ll be skilled at packing and protecting them in crates or containers, sealing them with glue, staples, or shrink-wrap materials. Weighing and labeling packaged goods for dispatch and organizing stacked goods appropriately are also important tasks.

Accounts Assistant – South Leicester (Permanent)

Major Recruitment are currently working in partnership with a manufacturing business based towards the south of Leicester who are looking to add an accounts assistant to their team on a permanent basis.

This role will be working hand in hand, supporting the financial controller with financial duties as well as operational duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with all financial duties
  • Assisting with bookkeeping duties
  • Working with other departments of the business to assist with purchasing and sales administration duties.
