We have an exciting opportunity for a committed Accounts Team Leader who will report to the Management Accountant and be responsible for ensuring the accounts team produces accurate and timely company accounts and meets financial reporting targets. You will be highly motivated and reliable, with at least 3 years experience in a similar role. You will be experienced with Sage accounting systems (preferably Sage 200) and will have some experience of team leading. You will be an excellent communicator and have strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

To be successful in this role, candidates must have the following

  • At least three years experience in a similar role, preferably in a food manufacturing and distribution environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of working up to trial balance and assisting with final accounts preparation.
  • Meticulously well-organised and reliable
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication skills with experience in leading a team.
  • Strong IT skills, Microsoft applications, and experience managing stock control, preferably Sage Line 50 and Sage 200 / Sage Payroll.
  • Experience of managing import/export, Intrastat, and EC Sales processes within the food industry would also be relevant.

Our ideal candidate has experience and a track record of success in all aspects of accounting tasks within a manufacturing environment, preferably food, within markets at home and abroad. It would be desirable for the candidate to have accounting technician qualifications or be a part-qualified accountant.

Hygiene Operative

Our Client based in Ashton Under Lyne are looking for a Hygiene Operative to start immediately. Working hours are 6am till 6pm on 4 on 4 off rota including weekend work

Pay rate is £11.44 per hour

Duties will include:

  • Carrying out scheduled daily cleaning tasks.
  • Cleaning of processing equipment and production lines to meet required standards,
  • Deep cleaning of production areas.
  • Post cleaning checks to make sure everything has been completed properly.

The Maintenance Technician supports planned maintenance activities to ensure the upkeep of buildings, landscapes, factory and offices in line with the operational activities of the business.

The primary focus is on ensuring the maximum uptime on machinery whilst ensuring the machinery runs consistently to the highest tolerances and minimum waste.

The Maintenance Technician ensures the effective resolution of maintenance problems as they arise in line with the business’ preventative maintenance plan including fault finding and breakdown repairs. The Maintenance Technician also supports the external maintenance program.

Core Tasks And Responsibilities

  • Involvement in all projects concerning buildings and site infrastructure.
  • Ensure all engineering maintenance work is carried out in accordance with Health and Safety Legislation.
  • Repair production equipment to current Company standards to optimize performance of production machinery and ancillary equipment.
  • Plan for and assist with the installation of new or relocated machinery / equipment
  • Ensure Equipment is properly set up and maintained, monitoring performance and carrying out fault diagnosis and running adjustments/repairs as required.
  • Maintain accurate and organised records of your work, both written and electronic

Knowledge, Skills and experience required

Essential

  • To have completed an approved apprenticeship with the relevant Level 3 Mechanical/Electrical Qualification or an engineering qualification.
  • At least five years post apprenticeship experience in a mechanical and/or electrical hands-on maintenance and/or engineering role·
  • Experience in problem-solving and rectification on a variety of equipment/machinery
  • Experience and understanding of electrical, electronic, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
  • Experience of fault-finding using wiring diagrams
  • Knowledge of electro/mechanical equipment
  • A full, valid driving licence
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Strong organisational, planning and time-management ability
  • IT literate. Proficient in MS Office
  • Ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative
  • Previous maintenance experience in a factory environment
  • Physical agility and manual dexterity.

  • Experience with CNC milling and turning using XYZ machines

Caretaker (Part time)

Our client in the Salford area are looking for a part time caretaker for an estate that consists of two 11 storey blocks containing 165 apartments and 67 houses. The blocks have gated access, parking, cctv & lifts.

Pay Scale: £13,000 per annum, subject to experience and qualifications

Work Pattern: 20 hours per week, Monday to Saturday, hours to be arranged.

Main Purpose of the Job:

  • Work as a proactive member of the team under the direction of the Managing Agents appointed by the Estate Manager.
  • Ensure continuity of building and use of the grounds for residents and community purposes.

We are currently seeking Production operatives to for with our client based on Flixborough industrial estate.

This is a Temporary to Permanent (after 12 weeks) role.

In this role you will be Operating fixed plant equipment; screening, milling, layering, mixers. Operation of forklift truck, overhead crane (once trained), loading shovel (once trained), manual handling tasks, running quality checks, safety inspections, autonomous maintenance tasks and plant clean downs.

This role does involve heavy lifting of up to 25kgs.
