SEN Secondary Teacher Role

The Role;

To plan and deliver high-quality, inclusive teaching that meets the diverse needs of pupils with complex needs and challenging behaviours.

The School;

Provides therapeutic educational placements for pupils who live in the adjoining Residential Home. We are committed to each and every one of our pupils and provide specialist support which is individually tailored to meet the unique needs of the pupils.

We offer a small, structured classes for implementing Individual Education and Behaviour Plans. These plans adapt curricula for pupils’ abilities, Key Stages, and needs, leading to nationally recognised accreditation from Entry Level to GCSE. While adhering to a high staff-to-pupil ratio to meet diverse needs.

Key Responsibilities

All aspects of SEN secondary teacher role;

  • Plan and teach lessons, working with small groups and individual students from KS3 to KS5
  • Prepare teaching materials, take registers and write reports
  • Help students develop confidence, independence and encourage them to learn
  • Manage behaviour, mark work and talk to parents and carers about their children’s progress

Requirements;

  • A committed and passionate view of students with SEND
  • At least two years’ experience minimum of working in a SEND environment or similar unit/provision
  • QTS/QTLS is a requirement
  • Must have at least one year teaching experience and passed ECT year.

A leading industrial cement manufacturing business is seeking a Project Portfolio Director to lead the development and governance of a significant portfolio of strategic capital investment projects across the UK & Ireland.

This is a senior leadership opportunity for an experienced engineering and capital projects professional who has successfully delivered complex, high value industrial programmes and is comfortable operating at executive level.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the future investment strategy of the business, overseeing projects from concept and feasibility through to investment approval, execution and operational handover.

This role sits at the centre of a major multiyear investment programme focused on asset modernisation, operational efficiency, sustainability, energy transition and industrial transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the strategic capital projects portfolio across multiple industrial cement plants.
  • Shape investment priorities and project roadmaps.
  • Develop robust business cases, feasibility studies and investment proposals.
  • Provide governance and oversight across project execution and commissioning.
  • Lead and develop a team of senior project leaders.
  • Partner with engineering, operations, procurement, legal, finance and executive stakeholders.
  • Manage relationships with external engineering partners, contractors, consultants and equipment suppliers.
  • Drive excellence in safety, commercial performance, risk management and project delivery.

Essential Experience:

  • A strong track record in major project delivery in the cement industry (or other relevant industrial sectors) across all phases of the project lifecycle.
  • 15+ years’ experience within the cement industry in capital projects, engineering, operations or industrial asset environments.
  • Proven leadership of large-scale industrial capital investment projects from concept through to commissioning.
  • Experience developing project concepts, feasibility studies and business cases for executive or board level approval.
  • Strong understanding of project governance, commercial strategy, risk management and stakeholder engagement.
  • Experience managing multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Significant people leadership experience, including developing and leading senior project teams.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills with the ability to operate across executive, technical and operational stakeholder groups.
  • Degree qualified in Engineering or a related technical discipline.

Highly Desirable:

  • Background within heavy industrial manufacturing minerals, mining, quarrying, construction materials, chemicals, power generation or other process industries.
  • Experience delivering investments valued at £50m+ to £250m+.
  • Exposure to sustainability, decarbonisation, energy transition or plant transformation programmes.
  • Contract strategy and commercial negotiation experience.
  • Postgraduate, commercial or business qualification.
