About the Role:
As a Production Operative, you will work in an ambient environment, handling with everyday tasks.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for measuring, grading, and supplying raw materials for our production machinery. You’ll operate a variety of production line equipment, including conveyors, hoists, and airlines. Monitoring the production process and conducting quality checks will be part of your routine, and you’ll make adjustments as needed.
You’ll play a key role in manufacturing our products, ensuring top-notch quality. Keeping your work area clean and performing basic machinery maintenance is essential. If you encounter equipment faults, you’ll report them promptly to our maintenance staff.
Your responsibilities also include assembling components into finished products, fitting parts onto machinery, and applying protective coatings. You’ll operate machine tools, such as sanders, and use preset molding machines for specific tasks. Whether it’s hand-controlled or computer-controlled machines, you’ll set and operate them with precision.
Quality control checks are vital, as you’ll need to remove excess plastic (flash) from products and ensure that parts meet specified tolerances and customer requirements. Keeping accurate records of raw material usage and production quantities is part of the job.
When it comes to preparing goods for shipment, you’ll be skilled at packing and protecting them in crates or containers, sealing them with glue, staples, or shrink-wrap materials. Weighing and labeling packaged goods for dispatch and organizing stacked goods appropriately are also important tasks.
