We currently have a fantastic opportunity with a company based on Hortonwood, Telford, who are looking for a Warehouse (Picking and Packing) Operative to work Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 17:00, with 30 minutes unpaid lunch break. This Warehouse (Picking and Packing) Operative position is a temporary to permanent role, for the right individual, paying £10.00 per hour.

Responsibilities for a Warehouse Operative:

– Unloading and loading vans and containers

– Handling delicate products

– Picking and packing orders

– Checking labels for goods in and out

– Unwrapping and wrapping pallets

– Handling delivery and order paperwork

Requirements of a Warehouse Operative:

– Experience in a warehouse environment

– Ability to carry out continual heavy lifting

– Keen eye for detail

– Full UK Driving License (essential)

– Full UK Counterbalance License (preferred)

Software Development Manager

My client is currently recruiting for Software Development Manager to be based in Telford, this will be a full time office based role.

Salary – up to £49k

35 hours per week

The role is to support the Management Team to deliver the agreed products to the required deadlines and standards.

You will be responsible for solution deliver. Developing the team is critical, with experience in leading office based and remote teams.

Key responsibilities:-

  • Ensure development teams are delivering high quality product and platform functionality, on time and on budget.
  • Provide oversight on all aspects of the software engineering lifecycle from planning/resourcing to technical implementation.
  • Strong software abilities.
  • Review functional and technical specifications, providing feedback to software architects.
  • Leading Agile software development teams.

Skills and experience:-

  • Strong networking and communication skills – have the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
  • Prior experience in leading and supporting teams.
  • Microsoft programming and SQL database skills
  • Usage of software management tools for sprint planning, task tracking, requirements management, continuous integration, static analysis

  • Establishes sound procedures for sales orders through to works order completion and delegate these procedures accordingly.
  • Ensure that the team are meeting relevant KPIs and conduct corrective actions to ensure adherence if required.
  • Interface with brand material controllers and other stake holders on the planning and forecasting of customer orders to meet shipment deadlines.
  • Maintain relationships with suppliers and resolve any supply issues likely to impact the customer, quality, or cost.
  • Escalate to the supply chain manager supply issues likely to impact the customer, quality, or cost.
  • Ensure Purchase orders are raised in accordance with the demands and restrictions of the business.
  • Ensures that the company standard practices and procedures are followed in connection with all material department functions.
  • Assists with sourcing activity from time to time as directed by the Supply Chain Manager
  • Through visual management tools provides daily KPIs report to the Supplier chain manager and formulate any corrective action plans to ensure daily targets are met.
  • Any other activities deemed necessary to mee the demands of this role.

Skills and experience

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience within a similar role.
  • Demonstrable Track Record of leading a focussed and disciplined team in a fast-moving volume sales order environment.
  • Experience of working with fully integrated ERP system essential – preferably with Opera and or Microsoft AX.
  • Experience with the documentation required for the importation of goods.
  • Higher level of education preferred – degree preferred but not essential
  • Willingness to work as part of a strong team essential, embracing the need to collaborate, challenge and communicate with humility and emotional intelligence.
  • To work with a strong bias for action and a desire to win.
