Stores, Quality and Driving Operative

My Telford based client is currently recruiting for an experienced Stores, Quality and Driving Operative.

As part of the Stores and Quality Team, you would be working for a family-owned Company within the light engineering sector, manufacturing a range of products made from a variety of materials. You would have to be prepared to make deliveries to customers one day a week.

Salary is negotiable depending on previous experience

28 days annual leave (inc. bank holidays) – some holidays are fixed due to Company shutdowns

8am – 4.30pm Monday to Thursday Friday 8am – 12.00pm

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and report any quality issues when goods are received and check.
  • Collate and prepare deliveries for despatch
  • General stocking & moving stock distribution on factory floor
  • Driving to a few customers with deliveries a few hours a week…

Experience and Skills:

  • From an Engineering background but not essential
  • Quality experience is desired
  • Previous stores experience
  • Full clean driving licence –

FLT counterbalance – days and nights

We are currently recruiting a Forklift Counterbalance Driver based on Hortonwood, in Telford, this position pays £13.51 for days and £14.51 for nights

The Forklift Driver is required to work a rotation shift pattern of days and nights, including weekends.

Responsibilities of a Warehouse & Forklift Driver:

  • Lifting products to a significant weight
  • Stacking products into racking, using an FLT
  • Ensuring all products are stored safely and correctly
  • Locating products and preparing them for dispatch

Requirements of a Warehouse & Forklift Driver:

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • An eye for detail
  • Full Forklift Counterbalance License
  • Experience as a Counterbalance driver is essential

We are currently recruiting for Weekend Production Operatives to work on Hortonwood, in Telford. The Production Operative position is a temporary on going position, with a flexibility to working days or nights (07:00 – 19:00 or 19:00 – 07:00). The pay rate for the weekend Production Operative is £12.71 – £13.51 per hour on nights.

Responsibilities of Production Operative:

– Working within a manufacturing environment

– Manual Handling – Lifting products up to 25kg

– Checking products for any damage or faults

– Carrying out general quality checks

– Working within health and safety guidelines at all times

Requirements of Production Operative:

– Some previous experience within a manufacturing environment

– Flexibility to work days and nights

– Physically able to lift 25kg to height

– Ability to follow standardised practices and quality documentation

  • Time served CNC machinest
  • Strong CNC milling programming, setting and operating experience
  • CAD/CAM knowledge
  • Experience of operating Siemans/Heidenheim controllers is required
  • PowerMill cam software experience is required
  • Able to read engineering drawings and experience with 3D CAD models
  • Leadership experience
  • ISO 9001 and lean manufacturing experience

  • PowerMill cam software experience is preferred but not essential
  • Understanding of technical drawings and working with 3D CAD models
  • Dugard, Mte and Hurco 3+2 axis CNC experience is preferred
