Stores, Quality & Driving Operative

My Telford based client is currently recruiting for an experienced Stores / Quality and occasional Driving position.

As part of the Stores and Quality Team, you would be working for a family-owned Company within the light engineering sector, manufacturing a range of products made from a variety of materials. You would have to be prepared to make deliveries to customers one day a week.

Salary is negotiable depending on previous experience

28 days annual leave (inc. bank holidays) – some holidays are fixed due to Company shutdowns

8am – 4.30pm Monday to Thursday Friday 8am – 12.00pm

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and report any quality issues when goods are received and check.
  • Collate and prepare deliveries for despatch
  • General stocking & moving stock distribution on factory floor
  • Driving to a few customers with deliveries a few hours a week…

Experience and Skills:

  • From an Engineering background but not essential
  • Quality experience is desired
  • Previous stores experience
  • Full clean driving licence –

Forklift Counterbalance Driver

We are currently recruiting a Forklift Counterbalance Driver based on Hortonwood, in Telford, this position pays £13.51 for days and £14.51 for nights

The Forklift Driver is required to work a rotation shift pattern of days and nights, including weekends.

Responsibilities of a Warehouse & Forklift Driver:

  • Lifting products to a significant weight
  • Stacking products into racking, using an FLT
  • Ensuring all products are stored safely and correctly
  • Locating products and preparing them for dispatch

Requirements of a Warehouse & Forklift Driver:

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • An eye for detail
  • Full Forklift Counterbalance License
  • Experience as a Counterbalance driver is essential

Production Operative – ADHOC

We are currently recruiting for Production Operatives on Hortonwood in Telford. The Production Operative position is a temporary on-going position/ adhoc , working a day shift 7:00 to 19:00 or Night shifts of 19:00 to 07:00, on a flexible working rota

Pay rate for days is £12.71 and nights is £13.51

Responsibilities of Production Operative:
– Working within a manufacturing environment
– Manual Handling – Lifting products up to 25kg
– Checking products for any damage or faults
– Carrying out general quality checks
– Working within health and safety guidelines, at all times

Requirements of Production Operative:
– Some previous experience within a manufacturing environment (preferred)
– Physically able to lift 25kg to height
– Ability to follow standardised practices and quality documentation

We are currently recruiting for General Operatives to join a long-established manufacturing company based in Telford on a temporary basis.

Hours

Monday – Thursday 07:50 – 16:25

Friday 07:50 – 13:00

Pay

£12.71

Duties for General Operatives:

  • Press machine operating
  • Quality checking
  • Assembly work
  • Adhering to H&S Rules on Site
