Major Recruitment are currently recruiting for Quality Inspectors to work for a well-established client based in Wednesbury.

Working hours: Full-Time Monday to Friday, weekly rotating shift patterns

Pay rate : £11.66ph for the first 4 weeks rising to £14.15 / £15.02ph after 4 weeks

Working days: Monday to Friday – rotating weekly on 6am till 2pm / 2pm till 10pm / 10pm till 6am shifts

Main Responsibilities for the Quality Inspector :-

  • Ensuring quality products are delivered to the customer & all faults are reported back to Production in a timely manner.
  • Accurate recording of faults, Investigate and determining causes of them for resolution ensuring products meet the customer’s expectations & requirements.
  • Ensure processes conform to ISO 9001:2015 standards to ensure full integration into the business quality management system or IATF 16949 for automotive customer/s.
  • Ensure focus on health and safety using PPE is maintained whilst conducting given tasks.
  • Support improvement quality processes
  • Participate in drive forward Continuous Improvement initiatives where required.

We are currently looking for a supervisor across multiple sites in the Birmingham/ Dudley & Sandwell’s area, the base will be i Coventry but the day to day sites are in the Birmingham, Dudley & Sandwell’s areas. we are looking for someone who has the ability to;

  • Day to day running of operatives and dealing with issues.
  • Liaising with clients on progress and programmes.
  • Quality control of works identify snags whilst we are still on site to avoid return.
  • Recognising and measuring up variations
  • Photographic evidence of variations/ progress as necessary.
  • Liaising with a variety of sub-contractors to ensure on works are completed to a high standard and on time.
  • Pre-start meetings with clients, Manager and Contractors.
  • Health and safety – ensuring method statements and risk assessments are adhered to including basics such as PPE, site welfare, site compound, housekeeping and site inspections.
  • Retrieving Satisfaction Notes for completed jobs.
  • Monitoring hire items make sure things are being off hired when they are finished with
  • Performing equipment, material, and routine site inspections.
  • Writing up reports, snag lists, site inspections and Health and Safety Paperwork including toolbox talks.
  • Issuing permits to work.
  • Processing paperwork and travelling to multiple sites as required.
  • Experience in the construction industry required.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Requirements:

  • Operating in the energy efficiency heating and also the home improvements markets.
  • Working closely with the ECO team our client is looking for candidates who possess the experience to complete Retrofit Assessments professionally and to a high standard.
  • The successful candidate must be able to work on deemed score / tech surveys and energy assessments to undertake work for various ECO scheme and the Greener schemes, and also help 4 homes schemes.
  • Successful candidates will possess knowledge of domestic heating systems, insulation within the ECO industry and also to be experienced with all documentation and compliance paperwork.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct on-site energy assessments, retrofit assessments, and thermal imaging surveys as required.
  • Make recommendations based on assessment findings.
  • Complete administration duties related to projects alongside the Operations team.
  • Compile detailed records of client communication, updating internal systems, and ensuring accuracy and maintenance.
  • Provide retrofit advice, including energy efficiency and renewable energy, to clients.
  • Complete site visits and surveys as required.
  • Provide support and guidance to energy assessors.
  • Maintain knowledge on specifications and available grants, ensuring information is up-to-date.
  • Liaise effectively with other staff members in the Group
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, homeowners, and internal staff.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a Retrofit Surveyor/Assessor role – Essential.
  • Experience of working on loft & cavity advantageous
  • Accredited with Elmhurst Energy or Stroma.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a busy and fast-paced environment.
  • Organised individual with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage workload effectively.
  • Full clean driving license.

Duties and tasks will include:

  • Detail the necessary production equipment, raw materials (building BOM’s) and labour needs for production.
  • Submit reports on throughput.
  • Identify priority orders and plan accordingly to meet customer requirements.
  • Work with Management to address any issues, setbacks or quality control concerns with the production process.
  • Support the Purchasing team to anticipate raw material demands.
  • Facilitate contract review meeting, discussing new production methods or ways to reduce production costs and increase company profits, as well as taking notes and assigning tasks
  • Prepare, complete and file production paperwork in line with ISO 9001 quality procedures.
  • Other process administrative tasks relating to production planning and general operations.

Other production and / or administrative related tasks may be introduced once settled.

Major Recruitment are partnering with a professional leisure facility in the Edgbaston area who are seeking a part-time permanent Lifeguard to start immediately. You will be working three days a week between Monday to Sunday and eight hours shifts between the hours of 6.30am and 10pm.

As a Lifeguard you will be responsible for supervising and promoting the safe and correct use of the indoor and outdoor swimming pools, and associated facilities (steam room, sauna, spa pool, changing facilities) as well as maintaining a high level of cleanliness and customer service for our members.

Key Tasks

  • The Lifeguard will have responsibility for the safe supervision of members while they are using the pool facilities.
  • They must advise members on the rules, regulations and safety procedures and interact effectively with members to ensure that the pool facilities operate successfully.
  • Ensure that members, guests and visitors receive an efficient, friendly, consistent and personalised service on every visit.
  • Supervise all relevant areas whilst on shift and adhere to all Club standard operating procedures and bye-laws.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness around the pool areas.

To be successful you will need to have experience working in a leisure facility including swimming pool, spa, sauna and steam room and fully understand the importance of Health and Safety in regard to this job role. All applicants must hold a current RLSS National Pool Lifeguard Qualification.
