Salary -£16/ph – £17/ph

8am – 4pm Monday to Thursday and 8am – 3.30pm Friday

We’re looking for a qualified Management Accountant to join a growing finance team. This is a hands-on role with responsibility for month-end reporting, balance sheet control and maintaining accurate financial records, while supporting continuous improvement across the finance function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly management accounts with P&L and balance sheet analysis.
  • Produce and post journals, including accruals and prepayments.
  • Take ownership of fixed asset accounting, including CapEx, capitalisation, depreciation and disposals.
  • Maintain the fixed asset register and ensure accurate accounting for capital expenditure.

  • * Identify and resolve process issues such as weld defects, thickness variations, strip misalignment, and equipment inconsistencies. Perform minor maintenance and support maintenance during repairs or breakdowns.
  • * Keep mill components clean, well-lubricated, and in safe working condition at all times.
  • * Follow all health and safety procedures, including PPE requirements, lockout/tagout, machine guarding, and safe working practices.
  • * Ensure team members operate safely and comply with company policies and quality management systems (ISO and internal standards). Immediately report hazards, unsafe behaviours, or equipment faults.

CNC 3 Axis Operator

Major Recruitment Oldbury are delighted to be recruiting for a professional engineering organisation who are seeking a 3 Axis CNC Operator to join their busy Darlaston site.

Duties and tasks will include:

  • Set up and operate 5 Axis Hurco’s and a ROEDER using setting sheets.
  • Conversational program, set up and operate Hurco 5-AXIS to produce precise components to specification using WinMax software at the console.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Check your own work using a range of measuring equipment.
  • Completing one offs and batch work.
  • Ensure that production requirements are met in line with the production schedule.
