Requirements of the Data Cabling Engineer:

Hamilton Woods Associates are currently working on behalf of a social housing provider, to recruit for a Gas Servicing Engineer to complete gas service and repair work across properties located in Middleton and Heywood.

Responsibilities of the Gas Servicing Engineer include:

  • Visiting customer’s homes and undertaking service and repair work to gas appliances including cookers, fires and boilers
  • Ensuring tenant satisfaction
  • Working closely with the compliance team in ensuring work is undertaken safely
  • Utilising a PDA to close and accept jobs
  • Completing necessary paperwork in relation to part, material requisitions and orders

Requirements of the Gas Servicing Engineer include:

  • UK Driving License and access to own vehicle
  • Relevant qualification in plumbing & heating
  • Relevant gas tickets

We are currently working on behalf of a social housing provider in Manchester, to recruit for a Repairs Scheduling Manager until March 2024. The role will be managing a team of 4 Repairs Planners, and 3 Repairs Administrators.

Responsibilities of the Repairs Scheduling Manager:

  • Contributing towards the delivery of a highly efficient and productive repairs and maintenance service
  • Leading, developing and managing the repairs planning and administrative teams
  • Managing the planning and daily scheduling of repairs
  • Providing guidance and assistance to contact centre staff in the allocation of appointments and diagnosis of repairs
  • Managing complex repairs, utilitising the property surveyors to create schedules of work, and planning effectively to minimise disruption to customers
  • Providing weekly and monthly analysis and reports
  • Managing and responding to technical queries and escalated complaints
  • Providing cover, support and assistance to other managers in the repairs team, as necessary, to ensure the delivery of an excellent repairs and maintenance service at all times

Requirements of the Repairs Scheduling Manager:

  • Previous experience managing repairs planners/ administrators
  • Experience working with repairs scheduling software (Accuserve is desirable)

The Assistant Management Accountant is responsible for producing accurate and timely financial processing, reconciliations and reviews, which form the underlying financial datasets for the business.

The role:

  • Prepare, reconcile and analyze monthly Management Accounts
  • Ensure the maintenance of effective and rigorous controls and overall processes
  • Help to manage the workload of the service
  • Help migrate processes and upskill Accountants
  • Calculate bad debt provisions, accruals and prepayments
  • Process intercompany transactions
  • Calculate bonus/commission provisions
  • Capitalizing assets and running depreciation
  • Perform reconciliations of balance sheet accounts
  • Assist in the production of financial analysis
  • Lead the analysis of ad-hoc problems for the business and the systems
  • Liaise with the Management Accountants on the budgeting and forecasting process

Required skills:

  • Ongoing CIMA or ACCA Student
  • Good communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, internal departments and key contacts
  • Good knowledge and understanding of processes

Responsibilities of the Fire and Security Engineer includes:

  • Working on commercial and domestic properties
  • Completing maintenance, repair and installation works to fire alarms, emergency lighting, CCTV and door entry systems to BAFE standards
  • Completing fault finding and diagnosis
  • Creating accurate risk assessments and method statements
  • Maintaining company van and stock
  • Covering the emergency out of hours rota

Requirements of the Fire and Security Engineer:

  • Previous experience installing and maintaining fire alarms, emergency lighting, CCTV and door entry systems
  • Full UK Driving License
  • Electrical qualification eg 18th edition, NVQ or City and Guilds is desirable
