Manufacturing / Production Operative

We are currently recruiting for a Production Operative to work on machines and production lines blending products such as adhesives, coatings and binders.

Items are manually labelled and products dispensed by tap into tins, bottles or drums for stock and dispatch. If you work well in a small team and can carry out tasks quickly and accurately, this job could be for you.

In this job you will need to have patience, as the tasks can be repetitive. You will also need to work well in a small team and on your own. You will not usually need any qualifications to start work but it would be useful if you have experience of work in a paint manufacturing environment.

Duties
The manufacture of adhesive products is particularly hands on, so your work as an operative is likely to include:

* The blending of adhesive and binders.

* The accurate weighing of raw materials and finished goods.

* Labelling and dispensing completed batch production.

* The completion of internal documentation.

* Loading of completed goods and unloading of incoming goods.

* The handling and weighing of liquids and powders.

* Ensuring that both equipment and work areas are cleaned and maintained.

Hours

You would typically work a 5 day, 40 hour week consisting of a 9.00am start and 5.00pm finish (Monday to Friday). Overtime may be required during busy times.

Factories are usually noisy and can be hot or cool, depending on the time of year and products being manufactured. You would wear protective clothing.

Entry requirements

The successful applicant will not need any qualifications to start work however it will be useful if you have previous experience of work in a manufacturing environment, specifically on mixing or blending.

It would be beneficial to hold a valid UK driving licence and have access to your own transport as the company will be relocating to RedScar Industrial Estate in Preston

Woodshop Operatives required in Haslingden (Temp to Perm position based on performance through the first 12 weeks)

£10.50 per hour dependant on experience.

Working hours are Monday to Friday – 8am – 4.30pm

Mobile HGV Technician

We are recruiting for a Mobile HGV Technician to join our after sales team. As a key member of our team you will support the customer by providing diagnostics, rectification and updates. What we are looking for:

HGV Technical qualification – NVQ or City and Guilds equivalent.

Class 2 licence preferred but not essential.

Working as an Assembly Technician on HGV Commercials vehicles you will work on all aspects of the build assembly.

Ideally will have experience of both electrical and mechanical assembly with the ability to interpret diagrams and engineering drawings.

Education & Experience:

* Experience using hand tools and power tools

* Experience of working in an HGV engineering environment would be ideal

* Able to read and interpret workshop manuals

Machine Operator

One of our prestigious clients who are a privately owned company are seeking two Machine Operatives to join their team on a 12 week temporary to permanent basis.

Roles available:

  • 2 x Nights Shifts: 7am – 7pm – Monday to Thursday (£10.50 per hour). Start and finish times may be staggered (based on staff count) – notice supplied on site if required.

The rate of pay may increase to £11 per hour when offered a permanent contract (based on individual performance and attendance levels within the first 12 to 13 weeks).

  • Operating a variety of slitting / rewinding machines.
  • Packing finished products, which includes wrapping, weighing and palletising goods.

We are actively recruiting for a Sewing Machinist on a 12 week temporary to permanent basis, based in Blackburn (with view to start ASAP).

The company are a leading manufacturer and provider of Orthopaedic goods, bespoke items and Custom fabrication devices. They offer a wide range of bracing solutions, including; spinal, upper limb, wrist & hand, knee & foot and ankle, dedicated to improving the patient’s health.

The Role:

ZigZag machine operating.

-Binding machine operating.

-Mauser machine operating.

The Hours:

Monday to Thursday – 07:45 – 16:15

-Friday – 07:45 – 12:45

There is a bonus scheme in place which is accrued weekly as follows (based on performance). This is calculated on a performance basis and progress towards bonus is communicated weekly. (Temporary ongoing (12 weeks) with potential of a permanent opportunity dependant on performance).

-100% performance equates to a £15 weekly (up to 140% / £70 extra in increments) per week. The rate of pay will be £9.50 per hour.
