Hamilton Woods Associates are currently recruiting for a Housing Support Worker to support vulnerable people on a permanent basis.

You will be required to visit properties in and around the Stratford area, supporting tenants who are at risk of homelessness/ substance abuse/ mental health issues.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Housing Support Worker:

  • Provide person-centred 1:1 support, creating and reviewing individual support plans to help residents achieve personal goals and promote positive behaviours.
  • Offer guidance and advocacy across housing, health, welfare and related areas, supporting residents to make informed choices.
  • Work in partnership with internal teams and external agencies, including mental health and housing services, to meet residents needs effectively.
  • Maintain accurate records, contribute to meetings, and comply with organisational policies, legal requirements, and best practice standards.

Essential Requirements of the Housing Support Worker:

  • Full UK Driving Licence (Essential)

Electrical Protection & Control Engineer

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Protection & Control Engineer to join this highly respected consultancy team. The team delivers leading-edge technical consultancy in the areas of Protection, Power Systems Analysis and Electrical Safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake, oversee and deliver high-quality detailed protection design and engineering projects within the Transmission & Distribution and Renewable sectors.
  • Producing design deliverables for grid connection projects between 33kV to 400kV projects including protection schematics, key single line diagrams, specifications, data sheets and other documentation required for electrical protection equipment between 33kV and 400kV.
  • Attend all meetings with clients, project team, contractors etc, interacting with clients to achieve project objectives.
  • Work alongside the Lead Electrical Engineer in implementing continual improvement processes within the
  • Engineering function, highlighting any issues within the team and general opportunities for improvement as appropriate.
  • Assist the Lead Electrical Engineer as required, working with DNO/DSO’s.
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, clients, suppliers etc.
  • Regular review and management of assigned projects from inception to completion. Interacting with clients to achieve project objectives.

YOUR SKILLS

The successful candidate will have the following skills, experience and personal qualities

  • A minimum of a 2.1 Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar from a relevant university.
  • Working towards Chartered Engineer status.
  • At least 5 years’ industry-related experience in an Electrical Engineer capacity. Experience in power engineering and design of transmission and distribution protection and control systems.
  • Experience of working with Health, Safety & Environmental Procedures and production of Designer Risk
  • Assessments, as necessary, to fulfil the Company’s obligations in compliance with current CDM regulations.
  • Proven ability to design protection systems and demonstrate rationale behind proposals.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, leadership and strong team member.
  • Prepared to travel to support UK-based customers with occasional travel to offshore location
  • Actively demonstrate initiative and ability to work independently under pressure to meet deadlines efficiently.

Workshop Technician Responsibilities:

EXCITING OPPORTUNITY

Working with a focused Engineering team you will oversee and deliver high-quality detailed electrical design and engineering projects including calculations, analysis, schematics, drawings, diagrams, models, specifications, data sheets and other documentation required for both LV and HV electrical equipment.

Proficiency with software tools such as ETAP, DIgSILENT, CDEGS and AutoCAD would be a strong advantage. You will need to be able to design electrical systems and demonstrate rationale behind proposals and have a proven track record of technical leadership on EPC type capital and / or revenue projects, including cost and budget control. Strong communication and interpersonal skills and a methodical approach to design & analytical work us needed as are good problem-solving skills.

You will also need to be able to travel periodically on a national & international basis to visit customers and attend industry events when appropriate. The role may require the occasional plant survey at both onshore and offshore facilities, within the UK and possibly overseas.

Our long established Daventry based client, are seeking an experienced and proactive Maintenance Engineer to ensure the safe, reliable and efficient operation of their manufacturing facility, production machinery and site services. The successful candidate will be responsible for reactive breakdown support, preventative maintenance, continuous improvement activities and ensuring statutory compliance across the site.

Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Carry out fault finding, repair and maintenance on bespoke manufacturing machinery.
  • Maintain and repair GRP production line equipment.
  • Service and maintain injection moulding machines and associated ancillary equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair faults involving:
    • Mechanical systems
    • Electrical systems
    • Electronic control systems

    • PLC-controlled machinery and automation
  • Perform fabrication and welding repairs where required.

Essential:

  • Multi-skilled engineering background with strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.

  • Good understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic and PLC-controlled systems.
  • Experience with planned preventative maintenance (PPM) systems.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and electrical schematics.

Desirable:

  • Experience within GRP, plastics, composites or injection moulding manufacturing.
