Major Recruitment have an exciting assignment to join our client as General Merchandiser working 09:00-21:00 paying £11.50 per hour based in Edinburgh EH2 3AA.

As a General Merchandiser you will work under the guidance of the team lead for high street names in a fast-paced retail environment. It will be your responsibility to unpack and display products on the shop floor in line with brand standards set down by the client. A wide variety of stock will need to be handled in an appropriate and efficient manner to ensure tight timeframes are met and customer’s expectations are exceeded.

As a General Merchandiser you will:

  • Locate stock in a warehouse and bring to the shop floor
  • Unpack product and accurately replenish stock on shelves
  • Arrange stock in a visually appealing way
  • Good housekeeping standards
  • Separate packaging waste and dispose of as per store requirements
  • Ensure all product matches SEL and is priced correctly
  • Adhere to RMS /Client health and safety regulations
  • Assist store’s customers should they need help with locating a product etc.
  • Complete processes in a timely manner, often to a tight deadline

  • Ensure all systems and customer information is kept up to date and accurate at all times
  • Adhere to in house processes, policies and procedures as appropriate and instructed by the leadership team

Skills & Experience.

  • Previous experience within a customer service or contact centre environment
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good computer skills (MS platforms, softphone, email)
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong organisational skills

We are currently looking for pallet repairers to work on a Monday to Friday 08:00 to 17:00 shift. You will be paid for 8.5 hours per day.

Ideally, we are looking for candidates with experience in repairing pallets but candidates with an industrial background will be considered too.

This is a temp to perm position with an immediate start.

Rate of pay is £12.74.

Due to the location of the site, you will need to have your own transport.
