Key Responsibilities for a 20 bed service in Ferrybridge

  1. To ensure the highest quality and standards are met in the preparation of risk assessments, support plans and person centred plans, ensuring that outcomes are monitored, met and evidenced.
  1. To quality control and coach team members so that service provision delivers the outcomes and focuses on the aspirations that service users have identified.
  1. To ensure that relevant Ivy Care policies and procedures are understood and applied by staff in relation to quality, safeguarding, criminal records, data protection, HR, health and safety and that the service meets CQC and other regulative quality and compliance benchmarks.
  1. To ensure all relevant records in relation to people we support and employees are appropriately maintained, accurate and up to date.
  1. To ensure the production of weekly rota’s is effective, provides the appropriate support hours and minimises costs, including the use of Pool staff.
  1. To undertake and champion the performance management and development of people including coaching, regular supervisions and performance reviews.
  1. To develop an approachable and professional culture where good practice is implemented, encouraged and recognised.
  1. To provide accurate and timely information and reports on the performance of services managed, ensuring the requirements of contracts are met.
  1. To authorise expenditure against an agreed budget to ensure that costs remain within financial limits.
  1. To build constructive relationships with commissioners, families, carers, staff, neighbours and the wider community.
  1. To take the lead in recruitment, induction and training of employees, ensuring all staff are up to date with mandatory training, service specific training and to chair team meetings.
  1. To seek opportunities to improve existing services and to input to service and company development plans
  1. To support and implement change and development programmes as required for Supported Living (known as accommodation for persons who require nursing or personal care by CQC) and Outreach Services (known as personal care by CQC) within the area of operation.
  1. To undertake the role of Registered Manager.
  1. To provide on call support and assistance as part of the manager’s on -call rota.

Key Responsibilities in a ten bed unit – Barnsley

  1. To undertake needs assessments and risk assessments, developing with each person an outcome-based support plan, and person-centred plan which are reviewed and updated regularly according to schedule
  1. To complete, file and maintain records, including assessment and support plans, case file notes, communication logs, risk assessments, incident reports, petty cash and finance records.
  1. To record and communicate to others the wishes and needs of service users where appropriate. Facilitate the people we support in decision making, promoting choice and involvement.
  1. To assist the Service Manager in ensuring that Policies and Procedures, “Quality Assurance Procedures”, CQC standards and Health and Safety requirements are adhered to and participate in the reviews of the service users.
  1. To assist with producing, maintaining and managing of the staff roster. Ensuring the rota and staffing levels meet the needs of the service users and are within the authorised limits of resource.
  1. To assist the Service Manager with recruitment and selection of Support Workers.
  1. To direct support workers in their duties and undertake supervision meetings, performance review and observations of support workers with direction from the Service Manager.
  1. Ensure all staff receive an induction and complete relevant training to comply with CQC and to meet the needs of people supported.
