About the Role:
We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading bakery in Rugby, for a Baker to work the evening shift. This is a temporary to permanent role, offering a competitive hourly rate of £12.70. If you have experience using Oddy machines and have a passion for producing high-quality baked goods, we want to hear from you!

You will be responsible for the preparation, baking, and finishing of various bakery products, using Oddy machines to create consistently perfect results. The successful candidate will join a dynamic and friendly team, working 8.5-hour shifts across 5 days a week, including one weekend day.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate Oddy machines to prepare and bake bakery products to the highest standard.

  • Manage the production process to ensure all goods are baked, finished, and packaged on time.

  • Maintain hygiene and safety standards in accordance with company procedures and food safety regulations.

  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow during the evening shift.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.

Essential Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a baker, with a strong focus on production and quality.

  • Familiarity with Oddy machines is essential.

  • Ability to work evening shifts, including one weekend day (shifts are 8.5 hours).

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality products.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • A flexible and reliable work ethic, with a focus on meeting deadlines and customer expectations.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Customer Relations Manager:

  • Act as the main point of contact for customers, providing support and guidance from reservation through to aftercare.
  • Conduct pre-handover inspections to ensure homes meet quality standards before completion.
  • Manage post-completion defects, snags and warranty issues, ensuring all items are logged, monitored and resolved within agreed timescales.
  • Carry out customer courtesy visits and accurately record identified issues on internal systems.
  • Handle escalated customer complaints and work towards timely, fair and customer-focused resolutions.
  • Liaise closely with site teams, build managers, contractors and the customer service department to keep customers updated and ensure work is completed to standard.
  • Support the delivery of high customer satisfaction scores, including NHBC 8-week and 9-month surveys.
  • Educate customers around warranty coverage, aftercare processes and what they can expect after moving in.
  • Identify trends or recurring issues and provide feedback to internal teams to drive continuous improvement.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, progress updates and weekly reports for management.
  • Ensure all customer interactions are handled professionally.

Essential Requirements of the Customer Relations Manager:
