Hamilton Woods are working with a well-established organisation to recruit an Interim Assistant Finance Analyst on an initial 6-month contract.

This is an excellent opportunity for an analytical finance professional looking to develop their career within financial analysis. Working as part of a collaborative finance team, you will support the production of insightful financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and analysis that enables key business decisions.

The role offers predominantly remote working, with only occasional travel to the Leeds office required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce monthly financial reports and variance analysis.
  • Support the budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning processes.
  • Prepare financial analysis and modelling to support business decisions.
  • Analyse financial and operational data to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Support cost management initiatives and investment appraisals.
  • Assist with the preparation of management information and financial reports.
  • Present financial information in a clear and meaningful way to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
  • Build strong working relationships across the wider business and contribute to process improvements.

About You

To be successful in this role, you’ll have previous experience within an analytical finance position and be comfortable working with large volumes of financial data.

You’ll ideally have:

  • Experience as an Assistant Finance Analyst, Finance Analyst, Assistant Management Accountant or similar.
  • Strong Excel skills and the ability to analyse and interpret financial data.
  • Experience of management reporting, budgeting, forecasting or variance analysis.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • AAT qualified or studying towards ACCA or CIMA (or equivalent).

Production Operatives

My client is currently recruiting for Production/ General Operatives to work at their state-of the-art facility in Wolverhampton.

As the Process Operator you will be operating equipment and carrying out all necessary checks and tests to ensure high quality food is produced to customer specification.

Salary:

£14.90 an hour including Shift allowance

Overtime available at £21.47 an hour

Working hours

4 on 4 off shift pattern (2 days and 2 nights) 12-hour shift pattern working 7am to 7pm and 7pm to 7am

When first starting you will not automatically be assigned a shift and must have flexibility.

Responsibilities Production/ General Operatives: –

  • Understanding of safe working practices and procedures relating to all areas of their work, and required safety equipment needed to perform their task
  • Understanding and attainment of both individuals and department targets
  • Understand and comply with all department and company policies
  • Handling bags of ingredients up to 25Kg
  • Meet housekeeping and hygiene standards individually and as part of a team
  • Compliance with food safety and HSE guidelines
  • Carry out instructions given by your Team Leader and Shift Manager

Skills and Experience: Production/ General Operatives –

  • Previous production operative experience
  • Knowledge of using computerised machines
  • Self-motivated, eager to learn and able to work on own initiative
  • Ideally have NVQ Level 2 in Food Manufacturing but not essential
  • Previous experience in a Food Manufacturing environment but not essential
  • Ideally have Basic Food Hygiene certificate but not essential
