Category Marketing Manager

Our client are looking for additional support in category to manage top 4 grocery retailers (with both current and new products) . To do this, we need to support the retailers with a data driven, category-led rationale. You will work closely with sales and NPD to develop a clear category strategy and drive an innovation agenda .

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

· Establish a clear category strategy for business to facilitate broader distribution growth in the customer base (to cover recommended range line up, distribution targets, price/pack architecture, promotional support, and competitor targets)

· Establish relationships and co-ordinate the purchasing of relevant market data (eg. Kantar, Nielsen, IRI etc.)

· Translate data into ongoing reporting for the management team to enable them to understand competitor, and category performance in more detail

· Work directly with category managers at the top 4 retailers to input into their category strategy

· Support sales and marketing with contributions to retailer presentations and present directly to retailer buyers where required

· Support a range rationalisation project with the objective of establishing a core range of products to drive business growth forward

· Support the NPD process via category trend analysis, sell in presentation support and recommending commercial targets for new products

The Successful Applicant

Skills and Experience Required:

· Strong track record at Category/ Manager level

· Experience working in food

· Experience working directly with top 4 grocery retailers

· Self-starter and ability to operate autonomously

· Ability to influence and advise internal and external senior stakeholders

Must Have:

  • Full driving licence & own car

This is mostly an office based role in Leeds with 4 days in the office

Health, Safety and Environment Manager

Shape, manage and co-ordinate the deployment of the manufacturing EHS strategy, remaining aligned to the EHS systems and processes developed cent

  • Provide EHS leadership to enable successful delivery of the EHS KPI Scorecard in line with business goals.
  • Lead, develop and maintain competence of colleagues through coaching and mentoring techniques to ensure compliance to regulations and our target of zero accidents and zero environmental incidents.
  • Ensuring that the appropriate talent is in place through selection, development, management, training, mentoring, and succession planning within the EHS team and collaborate with our Union partner in the recruitment and development of the cluster Safety Rep Team
  • Provide support and guidance to ensure effective incident management, root cause analysis and corrective action planning.
  • Drive and own the closure of non-conformance actions through effective influencing and relationship management both internally and externally.

Person

  • Strong technical background in both Health & Safety and Environment with relevant qualifications (e.g. NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, NEBOSH Diploma in Environmental Management, NEBOSH Certificate in Fire Management)
  • PC literate (word, excel and power point are essential)

Category Executive

As Category Executive you will be responsible for capturing market and category intel combined with shopper behaviour and reporting to aid and deliver focussed insights to support category and commercial decision making & category customer plans.

You will also be responsible for engaging a wide variety of stakeholders within the Commercial, Category & Insights teams.

  • Own the bi-weekly Market Insights Reports capturing latest market and category observations and insights to be shared with both internal and external customers
  • Responsible for category reporting utilising a variety of data including Kantar, Dunnhumby & IRI
  • Collating seasonal reviews shared both internally and externally, to demonstrate our understanding of the market and to identify trends and behaviours to inform the approach to future launch plans.
  • Working with the Category and Insights teams to understand consumer perceptions and behaviours, to feed into the cross functional Commercial team.
  • Provide category support to influence ranging, merchandising and activation in store and on digital platforms.

This role is predominantly office based with flexibility to work from home & travel to stores in the Midlands area.
