Duties and tasks will include:

  • Set up and operate 5 Axis Hurco’s and a ROEDER using setting sheets.
  • Conversational program, set up and operate Hurco 5-AXIS to produce precise components to specification using WinMax software at the console.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Check your own work using a range of measuring equipment.
  • Completing one offs and batch work.
  • Ensure that production requirements are met in line with the production schedule.

Electronics Test Technician

An Electronics Test Technician is needed by a busy engineering company to join their team

Working closely with the design and production teams you will check that products are correctly built and conform to test procedures. This will include programming a range of processors. You will perform tests based on set procedures and recommendation for improvements in the efficiency of testing, fault find down to component level aided with circuit diagrams and maintain test equipment used to interface product under test.

You will also design and build test equipment required to improve testing efficiency of the Companies products, assist team members with fault finding and the development of new products and adhere to all quality & health and safety standards e.g. Failure reporting systems

YOUR SKILLS

The successful candidate will have a HNC or Degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering or equivalent and some experience of electrical & electronics testing within a manufacturing environment. You will also have experience of using general test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, function generators and current meters). You will need to be able to fault find down to component level and be able to communicate with staff at all levels.

The Role
Working closely with internal teams including Surveyors, Project Managers, Technical Specialists, Procurement, and Manufacturing, you will play a key role in ensuring that approved technical information is accurately translated into production-ready documentation.

You will be responsible for converting survey and design data into manufacturing orders and production packs, producing detailed schedules for frames, glazing, panels, and hardware, and interpreting technical drawings and specifications. The role also involves using AutoCAD to amend and support technical information, extracting accurate dimensional data from approved drawings, and maintaining strict document control to ensure all revisions are up to date. In addition, you will support procurement through precise material take-offs, manage and upload project documentation systems, liaise with internal departments to ensure smooth project progression, and ensure that all manufacturing information is released in line with internal procedures.
