Job Description:

IMMEDIATE STARTS AVAILABLE – CLASS 2 DRIVERS

Major Recruitment are currently looking to recruit Class 2 Drivers for an industry leading recycling business based in Bridgwater

You will be driving residential areas collecting recycling with a 3 man team. 8 mile radius routes. Ongoing work 5-6 days per week.

Class 2 Drivers Required for Bridgwater

  • 06.45 start to Finish- Guaranteed 8hours a day.
  • £20 an hour
  • Saturday Overtime Rate – £25.50 (OPTIONAL)
  • NO SUNDAY
  • Standard Shift is Monday to Friday.
  • Crew consist of Driver and two loaders
  • Residential
  • £2k signing on bonus after 6 months completed with the client.
  • Free uniform provided – Just must have safety boots.
  • One day induction- classroom based and driving assessment fully paid 8hours.

Key Responsibilities

Glass operatives will be tasked with operating manufacturing machinery, performing quality checks on glass products, ensuring the workspace remains organized and safe, and following strict safety procedures while working in a hot environment with Kevlar protective equipment provided.

Essential Criteria

  • All applicants are required to undergo drug screening, and a clear test result must be provided prior to commencing employment. The cost of the drug test will be fully covered by the client.
  • Previous hands-on experience in manufacturing, preferably within the glass industry
  • Willingness to work in warm conditions wearing Kevlar PPE
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing setting
  • Physically capable to meet the demands of manual handling tasks
  • Must show flexibility and commitment to rotating shift schedules

Shift Details & Pay Rates

  • Shifts run Monday to Friday, rotating weekly between 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm
  • Standard rate: £14.53 per hour
  • Overtime rate: £21.80 per hour

Duties of the Housing Officer role will include, but is not limited to:

  • Manage tenancy related requests including permissions, assignments, successions, mutual exchanges and joint tenancy applications.
  • Identify any support or welfare needs at the start of a tenancy and put appropriate support in place to help customers sustain their home.
  • Manage tenancy breaches, using appropriate interventions such as warnings and notices and prepare documentation for court action where required.
  • Carry out home visits and property inspections to address tenancy, property or support concerns.
  • Support customers with complex needs to sustain their tenancies, resolve tenancy breaches and understand their rights and responsibilities.
  • Work with partner agencies including local authorities, police, social services, healthcare and voluntary organisations to support customers and achieve positive outcomes.

The successful candidate for the Housing Officer will have:

  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Enhanced DBS.
