Class 1 Night Driver – Bradford

Major Logistics are currently recruiting for Class 1 (C+E) Night Drivers to work out of our client’s site based in Euroway, Bradford.

Pay Rate:

  • Monday to Friday: £17.50 per hour (PAYE)

  • Enhanced rates available for weekend work

Duties include:

  • Operating HGV Class 1 vehicles

  • Completing shuttle runs between 3 local sites: Euroway, Dewsbury, and Mirfield

  • Ensuring all driving and vehicle checks are completed in line with company and legal requirements

Hours of Work:

  • Night shift: 22:00 – 06:00

  • Monday to Friday shifts available

  • Additional Sunday shifts may be offered based on client requirements

Requirements:

  • A valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence

  • CPC Qualification Card

  • Digital Tachograph Card

  • New passers will be considered

Night Hygiene Manager

We are seeking a highly capable Night Hygiene Manager to lead our hygiene operations and ensure that our site is fully compliant, safe, and production-ready every morning. This is a pivotal role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, food safety, and compliance across our chilled food manufacturing facility.

About the Role

As Night Hygiene Manager, you’ll be responsible for ensuring our site is cleaned effectively, efficiently, and in line with strict health, safety, and food safety requirements. You’ll manage and develop a dedicated hygiene team, drive continuous improvements in standards and systems, and ensure compliance with external audits and certifications (BRC, ISO, and customer standards).

This role requires a hands-on, motivated leader with a sharp eye for detail and a strong ability to inspire and engage people in a compliance-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership for hygiene operations on the night shift, ensuring the site is clean, safe, and production-ready.
  • Lead, develop, and motivate the hygiene team to deliver exceptional standards, clear objectives, and a positive team culture.
  • Plan and allocate workload for night hygiene staff, monitoring performance and driving continuous improvement in hygiene standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all hygiene, food safety, and health & safety regulations, including BRC, ISO, and other industry standards.
  • Maintain and update hygiene schedules, SOPs, and work instructions to meet internal and external audit requirements.
  • Deliver training on chemical handling, safe systems of work, and hygiene best practices for individuals and groups.
  • Take responsibility for waste segregation, recycling, and the delivery of cost-saving initiatives within hygiene and waste management.
  • Manage department budgets effectively, ensuring accurate reporting and driving efficiencies where possible.
  • Conduct risk assessments, enforce safe working practices, and ensure all incidents are investigated with corrective actions implemented.
  • Act as a visible champion for food safety and quality, leading by example during audits, technical visits, and daily operations.
  • Partner with HR and other departments to recruit, retain, and develop staff who align with our company culture and values.
  • Support root cause analysis of non-conformances, ensuring robust corrective and preventative actions are in place.

About You

We’re looking for someone who can bring energy, experience, and expertise to the role. Ideally you will have:

  • Proven experience managing and leading a hygiene team in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of compliance frameworks such as BRC, ISO, or similar.
  • A track record of improving site hygiene and operational standards.
  • Knowledge of cleaning systems, chemicals, and methodologies in food manufacturing.
  • Experience managing budgets, reporting on spend, and driving cost efficiencies.
  • Background in waste segregation and recycling initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and people management skills, with the ability to train, coach, and motivate staff.
  • Confident IT skills with the ability to use PC-based systems for reporting and planning.
